Well, there is always a positive side to everything ... After all I was able to finish the 40 miles which is a good indicator that I am ready for my 50 miler in January. How was your marathon? And when is our next run? I can't wait ;-) Bjorn

But you stuck with it! That's what you call determination/dedication! Laura T.

Scheisse Man. Ist ganz aergerlich, wenn ein Race Direktor das Rennen nicht im Griff hat. Ist mir schon ein paar mal passiert. Das nimmt einem die ganze Kraft weg, wenn man sich waerend dem Rennen sich so aufregt. Jakob H.

Ouch!. Did they have to send out a search party? Just put it down as a long training run. Hope you recover in time for your next adventure. Ed D.

It was close to it! It was already getting dark, but we ran into a mountain biker who helped us to find our way back just in time. And the race director didn't really seem to care that there were still people out there lost: He already enjoyed having some beers ... Bjorn

You are such a badass. Why didn't you just run back to Cali instead of hassling with trying to find your car and the burden of shuttling and flying? Ben G
